2026: Immigration & China
Reasons why people join OCI.
Members have told us they join because of many different reasons; from better defence, families, health on-wards! Primarily because they want to see Canada start to do better and they also want to be doing better. And realizing that voting in elections alone doesn't do it for Canadians. But better in what context?
Two of the main policy issues focuses of 2026 should be: less immigration and competition with China.
One of the main reasons why people join is for decreasing immigration.
Some of the many benefits of reduced immigration include:
-Reduce the foreign labour supply to improve the economy for citizens. So you or your family-members can get better paying jobs.
-Preserve society and culture. So Canada remains Canadian.
As we're one of the few nonprofit (soon to be charity) organizations in Canada that officially recognizes the damages or dangers of high immigration levels on citizens. If you believe (like 70% of Canadians) that we should decrease immigration, it's now your turn to join.
A second main policy issue is competition with China.
