Because You’re the Kind of Person Who Values Intelligence and Integrity

If you’re reading this, you’re probably someone who cares about what’s right — and you’re not afraid to stand up for it.

That’s why you’re exactly the kind of person who belongs here.

A Membership That’s Already a Great Value

Our membership isn’t designed to be expensive or exclusive — it’s designed to be effective.

And the price reflects that.

It’s already a great deal for the value you receive.
So if you’re wondering whether it’s worth it… the real question is whether you’re the kind of person who wants to be part of something bigger.

Because that’s what membership is.

If You’re Asking “Why This Price?”

That’s a fair question — and honestly, it’s the kind of question we like to hear.

It shows you’re thoughtful.
It shows you care.

And it’s why we keep the membership at a price that makes sense for people who want to contribute without being burdened.

If you’re someone who believes in improving your own situation — and improving Canada’s — this is one of the most direct ways to do it.

Join a Community of People Who Think Like You

Membership isn’t just access to benefits.
It’s a statement.

It says:

“I care about Canada. I care about the truth. I care about solutions.”

If that sounds like you, then this membership isn’t just a good idea — it’s a natural fit.

Become a Member Today

You don’t need to convince yourself.
You already know what matters.

And the price is already a great value — so the only question is whether you’re ready to take the next step.

How it Works

  1. Sign-up.
  2. Matched. As time permits, members services coordinator of ours will make sure you get suggestions according to the answers you provided in your answers to our new member welcoming email. Depending on how extensive you choose to answer, you’ll be matched to the correct political leaning group, the correct geographical region group, and the correct public policy interests’ groups.

This will also be your first opportunity to state the kinds of relationships that you are interested in developing. As we are new, it may take a bit of time for your groups to get populated with more and more members. You can also choose to post your answers, in full or in part, on the members only forum, in order to facilitate relationships with other members.

  3. Review. New communities thrive on constructive feedback. We hope to hear from you about how we can reasonably improve and continue to earn your membership.

We initially have a limited amount of time working with members so there is a bit of a first come first serve.

Join Us to Meet Others

This community helps you communicate and build relationships with others if you choose to participate.

Time to Join

Joining gives you access to members-only forums, events, information emails, career advisory services, eventually group calls or webinars, and more. In our members only area you’ll find insider information on our committees, first glimpses into research, and outreach activities—creating a space for you to dive deeper and get more involved.

Members collectively decide on about half of the research areas we invest in through general research funding, while the board and leadership team help determine the other half.

Benefits of Early Membership

Joining our nonprofit think tank as an early member can offer a range of incentives, both tangible and intangible, that appeal to individuals passionate about OCI’s mission. Here are the some of the benefits for early involvement in our organization:

  1. Influence and Leadership Opportunities: Early members have a unique chance to shape the think tank’s direction, mission, and strategy. You can contribute to defining research priorities, organizational culture, and long-term goals, giving you a significant voice in the organization’s development.
  2. Networking and Professional Connections: Being an early member allows you to build relationships with like-minded individuals, including contractors, employers or employees, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders. These connections can enhance your professional network and open doors to future collaborations or career opportunities.
  3. Access to Exclusive Opportunities: Early members may gain access to high-impact projects, events, or partnerships that the think tank develops. This could include speaking engagements, participation in policy discussions, or involvement in cutting-edge research.
  4. Skill Development and Expertise: Participating in a think tank provides opportunities to hone skills in organization, research, analysis, writing, and public speaking. Early members often take on diverse roles, gaining experience in areas like project management, fundraising, or advocacy, which can enhance your resume.
  5. Visibility and Recognition: As an early member, your contributions are more likely to be noticed and celebrated within a smaller team. This can lead to public recognition, authorship on reports, or being associated with influential work that gains traction in industry, policy or academic circles.
  6. Mission-Driven Impact: If you’re passionate about the think tank’s focuses, early involvement allows you to make a direct impact on advancing that cause, which can be deeply fulfilling.
  7. Access to Resources and Funding: OCI can provide early members with access to research funding, travel opportunities, or stipends for specific projects.
  8. Mentorship and Learning: Early members can have the opportunity to work closely with founders or senior experts, offering mentorship and learning from experienced professionals in various fields. This can be invaluable for career development, especially for early-career individuals.
  9. Flexible Roles and Autonomy: In the early stages, think tanks often have less rigid structures, allowing members to take on varied responsibilities and experiment with creative approaches to problem-solving. This flexibility can be appealing if you value autonomy.
  10. Potential for Long-Term Roles: Early involvement can position you for future leadership roles within the organization as it grows. Being a founding or early member often comes with a sense of ownership and a pathway to senior positions.
  11. Community and Belonging: Joining OCI early means becoming part of a tight-knit group of individuals who share your values and goals. This sense of community can be a strong motivator, especially in mission-driven work.
  12. Public Policy Impact: Early members have the chance to contribute to policy recommendations that influence government, institutions, or public discourse. Seeing your work shape real-world outcomes can be a powerful incentive.

If these benefits speak to you, feel free to contact us before investing in a membership.
